Week 42, 2019


A big focus over the last weeks was getting a lot of the levels out of “blockout” stage and into something visually nice and playable.

I fixed up the general store:

Other stuff

  • The train now arrives at the station at set times, you can interact with the train to buy a ticket and travel to the department store
  • Resources and other items got their icons fixed up instead of being placeholders
  • I generated all the current villagers’ portraits for use in UI and dialog
  • Along with the selection highlight from last time I added a tooltip to the bottom of the screen for all items you can interact with, telling you what actions are available for that item, and what buttons you can press
